I can't get a song banner to work with Dance With Intensity

I'm making a simfile, and I have the background and banner both made and in the song folder. The bg is 320 x 240, the banner is 254 x 79. My problem is that Dance With Intensity is using the background file for both the background and the banner. What reasons could there be for the program not recognizing the banner file, and how do I fix it?

Rename your background file "(filenamehere)-bg". That should work.

Fix the size of the banner. Make it exactly 260 x 80.
