You could always ask, "Why is Dropout 260 BPM?"
Why is anything what anything is? What difference does half make if you double what already once was full?
I commend the creator of this enlightening and deep post. Bravo. _________________

Some of the songs in DDR have BPMs that are actually half of what is listed. _________________

Well, it's like this. The original Drop Out was 260 BPM. Exactly double Drop Out Oni's BPM. Since the song was initially made for Oni mode, where there are no speed mods, to create the illusion of a really difficult song, they halved the speed but kept the final run of steps the same, with the same speed. At 130 BPM, it looks very clustered and will give the illusion of crazy badness. That, in a nutshell, is why Drop Out Oni is 130 BPM. _________________

Cause that's what Konami said it is, and that's the bpm they put the steps to. _________________
