Just a couple of days ago i started playing using the C 400 mode. Now, im basically addicted to it!

I used to play at 2x and 3x, but now its just c400 like whoa!

Do you guys consider it cheating? Especially on oni courses (guilty!) and songs with BPM shifts (I pleed guilty!!! E2.gif )

Ive AAAed lots of good stuff with it though riiight.gif

Kind of. Considering the fact that it ruins the purpose of BPM changes Try MaxX Unlimited on C300. That freeze in the middle is pointless with it.) and some people can't read that slow or that fast.

Watch me own Tempo Changer on C300. [/sarcasm]

If I can do it without the c300+ mod just fine I'd rather use it.

I don't think so because the tempo of the song may change, but the beat doesn't differ at all. (Like Paranoia Survivor, the tempo changes, but the beat is exactly the same.) So I don't think it's cheating. Of course, some people don't like the play on it.

I don't have a problem with people using any mods at all, whether they wanna use C400 or 0.25x its all preference.

She's right, whenever a pause occurs in any song, it always picks back up on the same beat-pattern it left off on.
Of course, I know people who consider mods at all to be cheating. They can pull off Sana Morette at 1x...it's disgusting. So I guess it's all in the eye of the beholder.

Oh, hello all, by the way. I'm Charlie. Mind if I putter around?

If you beat a song, you beat it, doesn't matter what mods you put on it, a wins a win really. bag C400 IS cheating, bag is MEANT to be played X1. I wish KOA could put more SM mods like mines and such into the actual version of DDR....

The arrows always scroll like 300 BPM or 400 BPM depending on what C you pick, regardless of any tempo changes.

It's cheating if you consider speed mods cheating, that's my opinion.

Technically, isn't playing with your fingers cheating? When it comes to Stepmania, nothing is really cheating because the whole purpose of it (to serious DDR players at least) is to help you learn songs. I could never understand the step structure of MaxX Unlimited Heavy until I played it at x0.7, and then suddenly it made sense.

Don't give yourself a headache worrying about what's cheating. If a mod is there then it's meant to be used.
