hi, i was just wondering if anyone else got foot pains while playing, i play alot, like 4 hours in one sitting, and i think that could be part of the problem, i dont think i stomp too hard and i play on my toes, but my feet kill after an hour or so, and well into the next day, and i dont help it much by playing even when my feet hurt so bad i limp when i walk lol. i use a bns dx pad and just wondered if its normal to get pains like this when you play. thanks

Could be a high ankle sprain. Unless you stay off it, it'll take forever to heal. You can play through it, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you have shoes on. I got mine on Drop Out 6-Panel.

I've heard that this type of injury can require surgery if you keep playing on it (like NBA players).

BUT let's hope you're just pounding the pad too hard. In which case...put on some shoes, or put a cushion under (don't know if your pad is hard or soft)...or just play less?

Playing on toes is VERY BAD, especially if you have a little extra weight and/or play very high intensity songs. Pains in general is also common if you're just starting out. If the ladder is the case, just keep on going until you get used to it.

If you totally wanna hardcore the sucker...you could also try getting yourself some Glucosamine HCL at a local GNC. This really helps joint recovery when you participate in high-impact activities (uh...like DDR!).
