As you may or may not know, Stepmania includes speed mods to increase or decrease the speed of the steps that come up. It ranges as such:

x0.25 x0.5 x0.75 x1 x1.5 x2 x3 x5 x8

There is also an option in the second option screen to increase or decrease the rate of the songs music and steps. They range as such:

0.3-2.0

Has anyone tried Bag Heavy, on x0.25 and rate 0.3 Flat?

If you type (bpm of bag) 65 x 0.25 x 0.3, the outcome equals 4.875!

If that equation is right, this song is not even 5 bpm! and on Flat all of the arrows are the same color! If anyone somehow manages to do this, please post a picture of a screenshot of the grade evaluation. I lasted 10 steps...

I played it and got about half way through before it drove me insane.

I'm sure a math whiz who would know how much to slow down, etc. And/or have memorized it could probably do it. I can't even read it well on 1x, let alone on not even 5bpm. erm.gif

It's not happenin' any time soon dude, I can't even get the first note sitting no more than a couple inches from the screen! laugh.gif And not to mention the notes are so tightly compressed that pretty much the entire step chart is on the screen all at once! erm.gif

Just another quick challenge for the few who like it even tougher than thi

Under the same settings:

Be In My Parasdise = 4.75 bpm, very very slightly slower than Bag..

Somewhere Over the Rainbow = 2.625 BPM ON THE SLOW PART!!!

Geez that's insane....

uhh... rate doesn't make the arrows any more dense. If you want to make it impossible, put it on rate 2. the arrows will be moving 1/2 of regular speed, but the arrows will go into the boxes twice as fast (with the same density riiight.gif )

eh? Arch like...AAA'd bag on 0.25x...or came close.

0.3 music speed is far too difficult though. It decreases the timing window even more and makes it like impossible.

You, sir, are nucking futs.
You could only pass it IF you know how the steps go. And if you could ever stand the annoying song anyway.

The ONLY way to do Bag at 0.25 speed is to memorize it. And if you've memorized it you might as well be doing it on stealth E10.gif

The challenge is for people who haven't memorized it. It's a reading excercise, except not with those pussy textbooks laugh.gif .

If memorizing it is becoming an issue, then throw it on shuffle!! or even worse, S.Shuffle.

I know it's ridiculously stupid to even be considering this... but I CAN do it 1.0x flat. So maybe I should give myself an oddball challenge... hmm...
