Ranks are all covered in the FAQ.

Site Staff is approximated by the Regulators user group.

Calendar and Photo Albums are useless when we have 30,000+ users and a worldwide audience. Besides, we have plenty of seriously hardcore PHP coders who could code up something if we needed it.

Thanks, though.

These are reasons why these mods are *probably* unnecessary.

Ranks mod. It's all in the FAQ. We don't need to add yet another way for people to see the ranks.

Staff Site Mod. Usergroups link already has that information.

Calendar. What purpose would this serve?

Photo Album. Requires more disk space and bandwidth. And we're already limited on one of those as it is.

Any other foot have anything to say something about this?

I'll chime in. i know of the database, i've looked at it before. biggrin.gif

The forum is so highly customized with custom mods and homemade hacks already that adding in other things may not work.

this is also the reason why we're left with using the default phpBB theme.

personally, i think the forum runs smoothly the way it is right now.

A calendar would be good for all the tournaments and stuff. But that's me.

Do you realize how many tournaments are run? I think there are way too many to warrant a calendar. Plus, no one cares about them all. People just pay attention to the few in their area.

Jusr wondering, but does Invision with a phpBB skin or regular phpBB take up more space?

The amount of space used by one or the other is trivial compared to the size of the database they'd hoist.
