in my town, my friend and i were the only ones to play DDR. We both are pretty avid players, and we talked about it a lot. Now it has caught on! About 15 of my friends now are addicted to DDR. Even 7 year old younger siblings are playing and bringing it to those grades. Plus, my friend is going to buy a machine to make money. hah free plays for me! E1.gif
Has this happened in any of your guys towns? im pretty sure in about a month everyone will quit so only the DDRFreaks will still play (i.e. back to my friend and i)

well, i'm sure that people will quit, but i started out as someone just trying it and didn't intend to be a ddrfreak, but now i am and i'm sure some people will stick with it. plus its only like 7 kids total and they aren't addicted. tim. heh.

Haha, tim. We love you.

It'll probably die down after a couple weeks. A handful of kids in my town quit after a month or so. You're a handful better than them, so they'll probably quit in your awe.

Wow, this brings back memories when my little brother, my friends I met through the arrow smashing game, and I were really into DDR. We used to meet at local arcades all the time, and planned road trips to go to tournaments and arcades that were out of town. It all kind of died down after Summer '03 ended though, with everyone going back to school and such. It also didn't help that most of us starting getting into other Bemani, such as IIDX, Drumania, and Pop'n Music, because those of us who did get into those play them a lot more than we play DDR now.

Oh well, even though the DDR obsession for most of us has died down, all of us made some good friendships during that time, and I'm sure those will never die. E1.gif

I've never met anyone through DDR, but that'd be cool. Especially if it was some kawaii girl. ^^

I got 4 different people (including my mom!) to buy their own pads, but only one of them actually plays much. I invite him over as often as possible to keep him interested in the game. He's still at about 6-footers, but I really enjoy getting to play with someone else.

I've been playing by myself almost every day for about a year now; I'm dying for some competition!

If you get truly hooked on DDR (like I did E1.gif ) you'll stay with it for awhile. If not, it'll just become a once in a while thing or just fade away altogether. But most likely you'll find a couple ppl who'll stick with it.

And let's keep the random babbling to PMs, if you don't mind
