rhythm it songs

I just downloaded rhythm it and i don't know where 2 put songs. I'm really confused. Whenever I start it up it says "bgm. bms. error" or somethn' like that. I wasn't really paying attention 2 the screen. Can somebody plez help me out?

RI! is not that good of an IIDX sim to me, I'd try BemaniaDX or DTX, I've hear that RI! has issues with BMS.
