XBox Stepmania

I have downloaded and install Stempmania for the xbox and its GREAT (better IMHO than DDR Ultramix). BUT... there are a few issues Im having with the install.

1. videos will not work (Im guessing becasue the codecs arent installed allong w the game)
2. dancers/characters will not work
3. scores arent saved in between machine reboots

My question is this: is EVERYone having these same problms or have I perhaps misinstalled or installed an older version of the software which doesnt yet support these features?

Just looking to a sound off on these issues.

from what i've read you have to make sure to go back to the beginning menu if you dont it will not save scores

You need to modify your xbox with a modchip you could get them from www.modchipman.com or www.system-mods.com Or you could tsop flash or modify your xbox using exploit (just need to own 007 or mechassualt).

I use stepmania on my xbox

You could get it from Efnet #xbins you need a ftp server as well

enter #xbins type, /msg xbins !list then you will get a pm connect to that server, but make sure you stay on irc or you won't get connected. Its in homebrew games part. If you need some more help or would like a modded xbox or more information pm me on aim at PapaSmrf187

ok... this is the reason why i believe the scores wont save on your X-box...

when you play stepmania on your computer, the scores are saved on a data sheet in one of your files that retains memory of said scores. If you do not have a file that retains scores, then your scores will not save.

Uh, characters "DO" work, and scores save ( I think ), gotta check. I don't really pay much attention to it.

EDIT: I just checked, all my scores are saved.

I was planning to made a guide for stepmaniax or something for people new to xbox modding, maybe within the next week or so...

All those things work. That was problems w/first version but if you actually updated you wouldn't get the problem since its the EXACT same as the pc since xport ported it with the source code on the pc one and made it for the xbox.
