So, does anybody own the newer version of RO's Metal Pad?

Does anybody own the newer version of RO's metal pad that uses "thin metal" instead of foil? There should be at least one person who ordered the pad after they announced the change. We should keep this thread going until somebody gets it and can post about it and hopefully post pics.

BTW, I don't think that the old RO metal pad thread should have been locked. It was a good thread because then we could be updated if somebody got the new thin metal style pad.

I have one, ordered the 20th of November so I believe it is the "new" one. However, I can't use it until the 25th (X-Mas present

). I also have a CF, so I'll be able to compare the two when I get my RO.

Why does it matter? According to your sig, you have a CF, and the other thread was locked because there's a sticky for this.

I have one and so far it is doing just fine.... I've been playing on it on heavy songs and challenge too... uh... only thing is if you play barefoot for a while you have to get used to these metal pieces with can hit your foots and hurt for some time... overall I'm pretty happy with the board... Ask me this question in a few months and then I'll tell you LOL

can you/is it easy to upgrade it to sheet metal or anything better than it comes with if you need to?

When your playing barefoot does it "feel" like an arcade platform, like, if you didnt look at it would you think you were on an arcade platform?

because I just LOVE (for some reason) how it feels to play on a DDR machine with bare feet, just love it

hmmm... I haven't played barefooted at an arcade... but I think it is better barefooted on this board. I think it is okay.. just that metal could hit your foot and you end up in a little pain.
