My Up button on my MMB 6panel metal pad doesn't work HELP!!!

Self-explanitory. I've had my pad for over 2 years. Phrekwenci (I think that's how you spell his DDRFreak.com name.) locked my other one, because it was in the wrong forum and he told me to move it here.

If the arrow doesn't work at all, I would look for a loose/snapped wire, broken solder point, etc. Unanchor your pad from your plywood if you've anchored it, and take a look. Make sure the wire going from the up arrow all the way to the control box is intact. If that's fine, then unscrew the brackets to remove the up arrow, and make sure the wire is still soldered to the copper contacts. You could also use a wire continuity tester to make sure there's no break between the plug (for the control box) and the copper contacts on the arrow. Compare that test to one of your working arrows. Hope this makes sense.

If it just sticks and works sometimes, you need new foam. Don't worry, it's very cheap and easy.

You can get foam at fabric stores, it's under $1 for a yard of it.

Take off the arrow and peel off the foam. Cut the foam you bought to fit arround the metal. Glue it down. You can use Elmer's glue for this. Just wait 2 hours, and now it's fixed.

This is the only thing that has happened to my pad, ever that hasn't been my fault (stepping on the cord). I've had to replace that thing 3 times! (Hard to track down)

I've had a couple problems with my MyMyBox pads, and here's how I fixed em:

1) The arrow wasn't responding
a)Turns out, the original FOIL crap they put on the bottom of the arrow rubbed off too much. A quick cleaning with contact cleaner did the trick. Then I replaced it with some cool copper sheeting I found at ACE.
b)It was weird, but I damaged the head of the RCA cable connecting to the controller box. Simple cut and connect solution.

2) The arrow is on and off
a)Besides the common things of damaged wire, the ground wire soldered on the connector under the arrow came loose. Just solder it or tape it back to the correct path.

I found out what the problem is. It's the wire at the bottom and it was tugged too tight and that's why it sticks.
