I've always wondered:
Is Konamix pronounced like dynamics or Kona- Mix? Meaning how is that A pronounced?
Also is .59... dot 59? Period 59? 59 hundredths?
Oh the headache! >.<

I call it point 59 or just 59 for short. I don't know what it's really supposed to be.

well, Fr0sty, considering how Konami is pronounced as "Kohn-ahmi", and not "Kohn-Am-ee", i think your second choice would be right.

and i didn't know it was A M Euro, thanks for pointing that out, Tekked.

I tend to go with Japanese pronunciations of the Japanese songs(i.e.- Sakura: Sah-koo-ra). In reality, it's no big deal.

For Konamix... I guess it's: Ko-nah-mix.

When dealing with songs such as the Orions and what not...I use the phrases, "The really slow one..." or "The really fast one..." etc.

Really? I always thought it was pronounced "Sah-koo-rah". That's how I say it, anyway.

My friend who watches me play thought Daikenkai was pronounced "Dah-kinky" laugh.gif

The american pronunciation is 'sack ura' (bad with phonetics). The japanese pronunciation is Sah-koo-rah because as Americans we tend to stress the first syllable and in asia they stress the middle one i think?

The reason Sakura is pronounced "sa-ku-ra" in Japanese is because the word is compossed of three characters in Japanese. Each character is assigned a syllable, so there are three syllables in the word Sakura. It has nothing to do with how people speak in Asia. Just because they are from the same continent does not mean they speak similarly.

As for the American pronunciation.....I think the word "American" sums that up.

But in English, you stress the first syllable of Sakura. I hear suh-KUR-a all the time. That's not right. It's more like SAH-koo-rah.

I've always thought it to be Sah-koo-rah

I was sternly lectured that Tsugaru=Soo-Guh-Roo sounds too much like Subaru (the car) and they thought it was "soo-GAA(long a)-roo

As for Dam Dariram, I just say it like the singer does.
