PC or PS2?

(note: Hopefully this is the correct forum if not please move)

OK, First of all I know nothing about DDR other than my daughter playing at a freinds house on the PS2, so please have pitty

1. Is the PC version any good?
2. What pad do I have to get for the PC?
3. Will only the PC version of the game play on the PC?
4. If I have all of this working will the simulations also work with the equiptment (I only found out today that there were simulations out on the web - like I said I am a noob)
