Why is it that evertime i watch people play ddr they are always complaining about this song and that song being too slow??
I don't understand why people think that slow songs can't be good songs too. Granted, I don't think any of the slowest song in ddir aren't really slow songs. They are made that way for the sake of argument.
I have this song on SM called teardrop and that is a song that feels slow and is rightfully slow. I just wish there were more of these types of songs in ddr. Any comments?? And please lets get some intelligent conversation going here. I really want to know what your opinions are.
Thanks!!!

I personally like fast songs. I just like having a driving beat backing me. (This applies to ALL music, including those I play on piano and in band.) However, I have my fair share of favorite slow songs (My Summer Love, Radical Faith, Sana Mollete Ne Ente, even Remember You , and that's just to name a few). When a song is slow, however, my guidelines for liking the song do tend to be stricter, since fast songs have speed going for them already, so I look for different things in slow songs.
BTW, "slow" for me is below 118. Songs between 118 and 137 I consider moderate speed and as for liking those the strictness of the guidelines is pretty much between that of slow songs and that of fast songs. _________________

I really hate speed mods. Considering that I started playing when there were no speed mods. You people better be glad the developement team came up with a way to help you people with an inept ability to sight read.
If it weren't for speed mods; slow songs would half you guys out there. _________________

I started on third mix when there wern't any speed mods. Speed mods can make songs harder or eiser. It all depends on how you use them! |

children, let's not turn this into speed mod argument #3209482308403289403284932840823094823948230948230948...
Anyways, I also enjoy the faster songs (i tend to like 150 and up)...although for some strange reason, Be In My Paradise and i have a secret love affair going on and it's the slowest damn song on extreme |

I like slow songs like bag and Radical Faith, but generally I don't play them because the majority of them are crappy songs like Remember You, Baby Baby Gimme Love, and Try 2 Luv U. Ick. _________________

Well I guess since DDR's music is based on dance music I guess all dance music is generally fast. But when the guys at konami start realizing that ddr isn't about dance music anymore then things will change.
I honestly think that that dance music is just a boring genre of music now. There is just soooo much more that could be put into ddr. Then we can all have our cake and eat it too. _________________

Yeah, except it does.
Chances are, you suck ass at DDR anyway, and you're using the 1x thing as an excuse to cover up your sucking.
I recently AA'ed/FCed bag on 1x flat sudden in the arcade today, and I speed mod other songs like crazy. |
