Let's say you had the money to build a decently-sized arcade near your place of residence. What games would you stock it with? What would you charge for games? Hours of operation? Laser tag? Would you be able to host parties?
Here's something I would most likely throw together if I was blessed with enough capital:
Bemani
DDR Extreme, $1 for 4 songs
Beatmania IIDX 9th Style, $1
Beatmania: The Final, 50c
Pop'n Music 10, 75c
Guitar Freaks 9th & Drummania 8th, 75c
Dance Maniax 2nd Mix, 75c
Fighting
Soul Calibur II, 50c
Marvel VS. Capcom 2, 25c
Capcom VS. SNK 2, 50c
Tekken 4, 50c
SNK VS. Capcom, 50c
Driving
Initial D ver.2, $1
F-Zero AX, $1
Shooting
Time Crisis 3, 50c for small screen or 75c for large screen
The House of the Dead III, same as TC3
Sports Shooting USA, 75c
Pinball
Monopoly, 50c/75c/$1 for 1/2/3 credits
The Simpsons Pinball Party, same
Revenge from Mars, same
Medieval Madness, 25c for 1 credit (older game)
Classics
Ms. Pac-Man & Galaga, 25c
Defender & Defender II, 25c
I must admit, it's very self-fulfilling, since if I owned an arcade I'd be spending lots of time playing the games during closed hours. _________________

Six sound-based games, eh? I hope you have corrugated ceiling tiles, or at least spread them out a little.
My dream arcade would have lots of modern and classic games, arranged in chronological order. A bit of research will determine which Pac-Man is closer to Gradius Galaxies, and so on. All the pinball machines will be movie-related, like Terminator and Star Trek. Mis-colored screens will be adjusted or replaced.
This may sound mean, but I don't care. To weed out certain age groups (i.e. too young and too old), there will be no ticket-based games. This has the added bonus of de-congesting the counter when others need help. Amenities will also be taken care of: snack and drink machines, and a bathroom. You never need to leave! _________________
