I'll tell you nicely before someone lets you know in a slightly more unpleasant manner: Please use decent grammar/spelling
And I like showing off in front of crowds, but i don't do things just to say "Ha I'm better than you".. _________________

I'm sure if it was sold for profit, Konami would clamp down on it (I'm sure it's a matter of time before they clamp down on ITG).[/quote]

...whut j00 sae? >=B
I like showing off to crowds in general. There are very few Heavy players in my area, let alone any with PA abilities, so the crowd usually eats up my performance, provided they stay long enough after looking at my appearance. (uber-nerd)
The only time I'll try to show off to deliberately make a person look terrible is when they start talking several gallons of crap to everyone around them.
True Story:
*Person A fails Spin the disc on Standard*
Person B: Man, you suck! Can't you do anything better?
*Person B promptly fails Long Train Runnin' on Light and curses enough to make a sailor blush*
*Zukin-Man walks up and AA's Jet World with X number of Greats*
Person B: Man, that's cheating! You're moving your feet with the music!
Come to my area once in a while. For only $5.99, you can have all the incompetence you can eat. _________________

my first time i tried to show up someone it was my gf (she asked me) in standard. the score went like this
Song Burnin' the floor(momo mix) Little doggy Captain Jack ( hey we were tired)
me: C B D
friend: B C D
the last opne doesnt really matter its not like we failed it or anything no we didnt fail legend of max. especially since we hadnt even tried it. no one laughed and we both got good scores. *that day was opposite day* _________________

I love getting all the attention where I play, it boosts up self esteem you know, but I don't shout out or tell the person/people who play next that they suck compared to me. That would not be nice, and I tend to be a very kind person.
It's sorta like putting on a show for the kids. They enjoy it. (I play where there are a ton of little kids).
I keep silent, turn back and smile to anyone watching after a song, and keep on playing. |

I don't tend to show people up, basically cause if I tried there's a pretty good number of people who'd show me up right back. In my experience, if you're confident on the pad and yuou have a crowd, those are people who will ask you after you're done how the game works and how much it is. Great friends are made through starting newbies on DDR. ^^ |

i dont ned to show off where i play cause no one really plays DDR there so when someone DOES play, everyone tends to stop and look, but NO ONE here or in other places I have played in, has ever talked crap or anything. Like when i first started playing heavy, i played Abyss on heavy and lost half way into it, no one said anything, the person after me just went up and beat like a crap load of hard songs on heavy and stepped down. _________________

Ha, this guy at the arcade today thought he was all 1337 because he could do standard songs.
"tchy3ah! i pwn ev3ry1 in hurrrr"
So when I was up I played all the songs he played. CFSIL, Drop Out, and Tsugaru. Heavy, hidden, dark. Now whos l337? |

People had ought to be congratulated for their good performance, but I don't think anyone has the right to expect praise. Everyone has times when they're proud of what they've accomplished and want to share them with other people, and thats perfectly alright..... BTu supp0Z3 u K4n sh0 sUM1 UHPomgwtflol wat dO j00 r Xp3kTloOLololollolol?/1211!?1!!lol!1.? Do you think they'll say: "oMgwtfigotsbeetlol!!1!!11! U R TEH DE3DEEArE MASTREOMg!!11!!1 j0o r so graet i lub yuu roffel"? Once you're less insecure about your own ability, you'll find that you stop caring if "ppl thiink they're the best and te really rn't". Do you need a cookie or something? |

I'm not arrogant, half the time I don't even like people playing with me but when I do I don't say anything. I let them choose the songs because it doesn't matter, everyone at my arcade can do the heavy songs but I always beat them in points. I don't say anything it just makes me feel better about my self. Like hey, I'm not putting all this time and effort into it for nothing, I actually am pretty good. Oh, and when somebody brings all their friends to watch them, then I try real hard and I can SDG stuff when they get like 30-40 greats, and I don't say anything, if they get mad I chuckle inside. Call it messed up but it makes me happy, cuz paranoia survivor doesn't. stupid song |

I rarely show people up, only for these reasons:
1. Many Hot Girls.
2. The person is a jerk, going "No one can beat me!" while playing on light.
3. The person is hurting the machine by stomping/getting pissed off at it, shaming them out of the arcade.
4. Someone talking poopy to me, telling I probably cant play, then verusing them, and then beating them.
I have shown people up under 1, 2, and 3.
Me shaming that person out of the arcade was fun, cause the guy was a little snot. _________________

<------ is a crowd whore
I love playing in front of and impressing crowds. I show OFF, but I don't try to show UP, mainly beacuse 1) I think that symbolizes someone trying to be an arrogant assclown 2) I really can't. I know one kid who I think can't finish most catas, but who can kick the crap out of me in PA. I could always be a jerk and ask him to PA and then pick a pie, but that's being overly mean for no reason. There's no point to it. I figure, if I wanna be a good PAer, then I'll just learn how to PA everything and stamina-cize people who can't do pies when it's serious time (when I can).

I don't show off but that sure as hell dosen't stop other people. One time this guy I was playing with said "noobs have to play near the window". . I should have picked PSM and failed us both.
He dosen't even pivot on CSFILSM. What a fairy. _________________

Heh, actually I saw a guy doublestep through CSFILSM yesterday. He passed it but looked pretty damn shattered at the end. Still, I thought I might vs him but I certainly wasn't arrogant about it I just say "hey man, want to play vs with me?"
Then I promptly got my ass handed to me on Afronova (I think he got an A whereas I just completely failed it). Gotta work on those turns, I have no idea how to alternate through that...
And hey don't assume those hot girls are all noobs at DDR either A few weeks back one kicked twelve shades of shit out of me on the pad; FCed Dead End, then breezed through Rhythm and Police while I flailed about like a nutter (I still couldn't pass it back then). We both ended up failing Burning Heat though. Matter of fact I think she posts here too. Sup Stacey! |
