We are hosted at Keystreams Internet Solutions in San Diego.

The main problem with DDRFreak is client-side, and has nothing to do with the host.

I'd say Keystreams looks pretty good to me.

As a clarification, since it took me a minute to figure out your meaning...

The problem with DDRFreak is not a fault with the hosting provider, as much as it's a problem with DDRFreak's configuration.

Client-side implies that the problems are on the user's end, and that's not the case (unless you want to say that part of the problem is there are too many users E13.gif).

Or you can say I, the owner of DDR Freak, am a client of Keystreams, in which case, client-side would be correct.

http://www.sitelutions.com

Seems to be better than what you're using now, though they're not local like apparently yours is. But they're a non-profit web hosting thing, and their prices are INSANE (In a good way).

you'd think that if it was that easy, they would've done something like this already.

unfortunately, it's not.

I can't quite see what this site does that makes it any different from any other website...

That's the point, you can't see it.
DDR Freak is run on a dedicated server. While we don't always have physical access to it, (read: it's housed in a datacenter), staff members have shell access to the site, and can change anything and everything about it.

Hosting packages give you the ability to modify your site, that's all.
The few people who work directly on the server mess with everything, databases, apache, non-hosted files (personal files), cvs management, etc.

The point is, you can't find us a simple hosting package and say we should use it, DDR Freak requires a lot more.
