Hi, do anyone know how to get the USB Super Dual Box configurations to work? I have all the buttions set out, but the problem is that it thinks I am going in the upper left, upper right, bottom left, or bottom right corners when dancing if I am standing on any two arrows at the same time. My guess is that I need to set it so that the up arrow is triangle, right arrow is square, bottom arrow X, and left arrow circle. The problem is I do not know how to set it to that by using the USB Super Dual Box. (And so that it is Stepmania compatible.) After installing this it asked be what joystick I had and I picked 4 buttion gamepad, but it doesn't even recognize it. After I activate the USB Super dual box, it automaticly picks one for me but it has the same arrow directions as the playstation controller. So if I hold down up and left, it will think I am going diagonal upper left. Please does anyone know how to fix it? I apologize for having you read such a huge amount of text. Thank you! |

You can't remap arrows to triangle, circle, etc... they will only register as arrows. Where does it show diagonal directions? Do you know about the "Up+Select+Start" trick you have to do for the Super Dual Box? _________________

I know about up select start, but it doesn't seem to have done anything when I do it. The pad works as it normally does whether I do it or not. Oh, and the controller shows the diagnoals when I go to the properties of the controller. I hold down the up arrow, then put my other foot on a left or right arrow and it says I am holding down upper right/left. Also out of all of the controllers, it only let's me pick the default. If I pick 4 buttion gamepad it doesn't think its connected even though I pushed Up+Select+Start. Where am I supposed to do that command if it activates it? (Please answer the questions above also if you can) BTW I appreciate you replying to this, you don't know how long i've been trying to get Stepmania to work with my pad lol.
EDIT: Somehow I had a /quote at the end of my paragraph.. _________________

It's normal for the properties to show diagonals, don't worry about that. The problem is getting it to recognize the arrows as buttons instead of only directions (with start+select+up).
Here's what I do:
1. Go to the controller properties in Windows where you test the buttons. You'll notice that triangle, square, etc., when you hit them, light up red numbers on the bottom (do you see those?). But arrows do not; but they should. Hit start+select+up on the pad (you can watch on the screen to make sure you're hitting them all) and try the arrow buttons again. Are they lighting up red numbers now? If so, good, move on...
2. Go to Stepmania, and map the controller as you like it. Play!
You'll have to do step 1 every time your computer boots, which is a little bit of a pain, but a small price to pay IMO. Plus you get good at doing it fast (I have a shortcut to controller properties on my desktop), it only takes me 5-10 sec now. Good luck! _________________
