so i just came back from the arcade about 10 minutes ago and the strangest thing happened. when i was playing (japan heavy if you must know E15.gif ) and in the middle of the song, i don't even realize i'm playing. It was like i got knocked out or something. so just about when the song is over, i come back down and start to mess up on the song. it was too hard for me to get bsck on track, so i failed 2 steps before it ended disgust.gif . I mean, does anyone know what the hell happened?

1. I've had it happen to me before. Not while DDRering, but during track.

2. It could be that you spaced out. Not sure.

3. It could be Euphoria (I think that's what my coach called it when it happened to me in track) I was running the final 100 meters of the mile and i had to sprint. I hit top speed, then everything went silent. I couldn't move my eyes, but i could just see my hand moving back and forth. Once i came back to reality, i slowed down and let some dude pass me.

It doesn't really happen to me... but during HVAM I usually seem to somewhat not even know what I'm doing and kind of "lose vision". Maybe not all the way to that extent, but weird nonetheless. I can't remember any of the steps near the end, either.

That happened to me in track once too. It was during a 200m race, and when I was halfway through the turn, I just stopped realizing what was going on, and started passing people. I eventually came back to near the finish line, and was a little disoriented, and I slowed down and got passed back up by a couple people.

It's a weird feeling, but if it could last during the whole time you're doing something, it seems it would be better.

I'm going to do that on purpose and see what happens.

I've had that happen before. Of course, it WAS while I was doing strength fo the demon(strength of the demon is a huge anger and adrenaline boost, at once, aimed at one target. It numbs all pain and I won't stop until my goal is done.), so that might have something to do with it.

Forgive me for being anal, but I have to point this out...the name of the song is Matsuri Japan...the kanji character is not the symbol for Japan; it is the symbol for matsuri, or festival. Ok, I'm finished.

That has also happened to me in track during the 400. Usually it's induced by adrenaline I believe, so I doubt it would happen to me in DDR unless I was playing competitively or was about to AAA something.
