super dual box help please

it's the super dual box. anyway i tried using it on stepmania and it wouldn't work. the start and select buttons did work, but when i pushed the arrows sm didn't respond. i know for a fact that they are in working condition because when i push the arrows, the pad lights up.

i messed with the options but i couldn't figure it out. help me...

you sure you didn't configure it in the options? and did you install the controller adapter? cause my friend has that same one, and it works fine.

all she did was just install it with the floppy it came with, then booted up SM, and went to Input Options. then configured the buttons (left=left on the pad, etc.)...

I've got the same one, at it won't work either. I've been trying for months to get it to work, and it did when I first got it.

I don't quite know WHY it worked, but all I did was rip it from a buddy of mine, and it worked just fine. Then I guess I did something, so it's been messed up ever since. Grrr!

Have you done the "select+start+up" trick to turn off the axes? You have to do this before starting SM. Look in controller properties to see if it worked correctly--the arrows will register as buttons (i.e. they will light up the red circles).
