I'm surprised no one has brought up "Tears", I feel the song is not played much and pretty much underrated. I love the song, and I feel whenever i DDR I'm the only guy that plays it. Do I feel alone? _________________

not at all.
<3 tears
and kakumeichan, i can't really explain, but i can give examples...
trance in ddr :
aoi shodou
celebrate nite (euro trance)
colors
dam dariram (kinda)
drifting away <---best single example of trance in ddr
ecstasy (both versions)
frozen ray
ghosts
i feel...
justify my love
kiss me all night long (kinda)
l'amour
look at us
rain of sorrow
so deep
stay (max2)
sync
tears
vanity angel
aaaand so on. trance is usually anywhere from 135-160bpm, but mostly around 140-ish.

And another thing about bemani-related trance and such... I'd highly recommend checking out some of TaQ's CD: Bounce - Connected... Some good stuff on there... For example... Full-length recordings of Holic, Stoic, DXY!, Traces, Sync, Era... Yes... Very nice set...
