My soft pad abruptly quit on me. I live in a dorm and didnt think i was going to play it very much so i didnt bring it with. Today I thought oh hell why not, and i brought it with. Well, now the pad doesnt work. When loading the pad, i set it in the trunk on top of everything else and it was lying flat, so it could't have gotten messed up from the trip down here.
So now to my point...
Is there a quick-fix solution to this problem? I am a college student (meaning money is in short supply) and cannot afford to buy one of those fancy shmancy metal pads that all of you have (and i am filled with ENVIOUS RAGE). 
Please help
