im gonna need a new foot after tapping it to the beat over and over. lol
(i bet you were thinking cause i play DDR too much)

I just ordered my BNS DX-Xtreme pad, the one with the padding inserts. I read reviews and it looks to be a pretty sweet pad, just about as good as the RedOctane. I dont know what in my head made me want to buy the Topway PVC hard plastic pad, cause i also read the reviews of that, its its even worse than the kickass MadKatz pad ive been using since i bought DDR. Dont underestimate the power of 3rd party! Im also looking to get a PS2-to-USB converter for my StepMania game, which is where all my songs from my radio station are on.

First of all... Good Luck w/ your web radio station! I just have a few questions for you...

  1. Software Required to listen?
  2. Broadcast Quality? (is it 28K mono or more like 40K stereo)
  3. Do you have enough UPSTREAM BANDWIDTH to support it?

Minimum Bandwidth required: 28K*20*1.1 = 616 KBps Upload requirement...

Unless you have like a kick-buttocks broadband connection or you're paying like $8/mo or more for broadcasting servers... expect to have some problems surfing online unless you trim off some of the users.

The only suggestion I can think of is pick up a "Song Request" server. WWWinamp (assuming you're using Shoutcast here) is a very simple DOS/Java-based server that can handle it.
