What version of DDR was it that you improved your skills on?

For me personally I remember cozy days and nights with DDR USA and 3rd Mix. Those were the ones that I began with and started going up to Catastrophics. tongue.gif

I'm with DarkCSE. I started on a 1.5, but didn't start to really improve and play a lot until 3rd.

I grew up on MAX2 E1.gif I think it was a great mix to learn DDR on... although all of us on MAX2's were VERY spoiled, compared to all the 3rd Mix people :/

Now, I don't think I've been around quite long enough to judge this, but it seems like every summer suddenly a HUGE wave of new DDR players emerges... Like this summer... all these new players are BOOM! I mean, I never remember seeing so many yellow feet in my year here at DDRFreak. Is that what usually happens?

i grew up on kanomix at home...and i didnt really play at the arcade cuz i couldnt find any machines...and then when i did..i didnt have enough time to play...but as for arcade...there's three that really helped me...2nd mix for freestyle and going through the bar...3rd mix for some of the better freestyles...and extreme for cata's and the max and paranoia family's. i love extreme..cant wait til max2.

DDR I started with:

At home: Dancing Stage Euromix (A mate brought the game and mat round my house one night and told me that I should get into this).

In the Arcades: Dancing Stage and Dancing Stage Euromix (Mainly), remember my first fav song was Captain Jack. I also loved the Paranoia Songs and my mate saying back in those days that Rebirth was the daddy song! I started on Standard difficulty.

DDR I play now:

At Home: Stepmania and DDR Max US, 5th Mix occasionally.

In the Arcades: Dancing Stage Euromix 2 and DDR Extreme. I never play EM 1 and rarely play 3rd Mix (unless I really have to if I'm bored). If my local arcade didn't dispose of 5th Mix, then that as well.

Currently playing 8-10 footer songs!
