Stepmania on a slow computer?

I'm getting framerates around 15-20 fps on my laptop. That sucks. Any suggestions?

well it depends on what your graphic options are set to resolution and stuff like that tweak around with them and see which one works the best on your video card

idk what my frame rate is but it does look kinda choppy when it moves things around like the arrows for example. what i do is i press f5 (maybe different on different comps) and it makes it more pixalated and with that it runs alot smoother.

My computer's slow too, what works for me is to put the resolution down to 640x480 (listed as 640 on Stepmania), also the background rendering all the way down and video rendering all the way down.
