hey
I am getting a jps2 and Beatmania IIDX... cause I love it.
I was just wondering two things though. 1) can I use my old psx beatmania 5key controllers to play it on 5 key mode?
2) where can I find a reliable site with song lists for the home versions of it.. I really wanna play In My Eyes, Heartbeat, BrainChild, and the other awesome trance songs....
thanks in advance!

I'm pretty sure you can play 5-key mode with your Beatmaina controllers...I've never tried it, but I'm sure it works if you go and change controller settings in Options.
I'm not sure of a site at the moment (Konami of Japan's maybe?) but I can tell you where those three songs came from.
in my eyes: This is in 5th Style.
Heartbeat: This is in 7th Style, which unfortunately hasn't been released yet.
BrainChild: I assume you mean moon_child, which is in 9th Style. I wouldn't count on 9th Style coming out soon for JPS2, seeing as it was just released in the arcades a couple months ago, plus the fact that 7th hasn't been released yet.
Hope this helps! _________________

i agree about the 5key beatmania play, but it detracts alot from the whole iidx experience. take about 2/7 of the difficulty away from any song and that's 5key play. i would just get the konami iidx controller (which i have along with 6th style and a jps2). _________________

For song lists, go here: http://www.konamijpn.com/products
That's the product list. Find the game in question, and there should be a song list in there somewhere. I can tell you, though, that most of the songs you listed are not currently in any home versions.

Huh? You mean because Konami already has the info? |

No. Because nobody ever reads the faq that he wrote. The song lists for each version are in his faq already. Which, btw, is posted on this site. A little looking around is all it takes.
To add to the discussion... I would definately try to get 4th Style next because it's very hard to find. However, if the price is too steep, set your goal to 5th Style. All four of the IIDX games are great to have. But it really comes down to what songs YOU like or want to play. |

DT's FAQ is linked in the rules thread at the top of this forum, and it's also posted on DDRFreak. I believe it gives answers to both of your questions.
