I'm working on building a MAME cabinet with support for every bemani game. I was planning out my IIDX interface but I have a few questions.
1. How large (diameter and width) is an arcade IIDX turntable.
2. Since the turntable interface is optical (both the arcade and mine), how would I go about wiring that so that it would work with a Playstation 2. I'm not too familiar with optical interfaces so I may have to experiment, or disect an home controller (since those are also optical).
Anyways, I'll post images when I start working on it. I'm finishing up my DDR pads and MAME cabinet first though.
EDIT:Nevermind about the first question. I decided to go with 2 TV turntables. I will then glue the spinner to the turntable and that will work. They are 10" in diameter. It's a little big but should work. _________________
