Watching and learning....LITERALLY!!!!

OK, as you all may have noticed from previous posts, I LOVE Random All.

Well, I just got back from playing about 3 hours of nothing but Random All and I must say that my Cleared Cata list JUMPED today. Now, bear note that every single one of the following 9 footers I cleared IN MY FIRST TRY!

Captain Jack
Broken My Heart
Luv to me (Disco Mix)
Can't Stop Falling in Love (Speedy Mix)
Cartoon Heroes (Well, I actually tried this one beofre)
Trip Machine Survivor
Orion.78 Civilization Mix (I was like...O_o')
Healing Vision (Angelic Mix) (FIRST TRY!!! O_0 again!)
Exotic Ethnic
Dead End

And I cleared another 10 footer during this random all Rampage, "Sakura"

I never brought myself to attempt any of those songs before. However, how in the world did I clear them in my first attempts.

Well, All of those songs on that list I've WATCHED many good players play several times before. During the songs I was like "Oh, yeah, now this part and that part...etc..." Especially in Civ Mix... gallopgallopgallopgallopgallop. I would have never known those were gallops if I hadn't watched this one dude play that song many times in the past.

I'm making this post to ask a question though. How many of you out there can relate to this? You see so many people do a certain song that you just go up and beat it in 1 or 2 tries...If so, what songs?

This is why people are getting better faster these days. You guys have people to watch and learn from. Back in my day, around 3 years ago, we had to learn everything on our own because all of us were at about the same level.

WOW!!! ur good:D well.. i can do about 6 out of 10 on your new cata's.. im impressed that you had enough stamina.. i have asthma.. so it would take me a few bottles of ice cold water and a buncha albuterhol (for all u asthmatics who know what im talking about)

No I really haven't learned anything from watching. I even had to figure out gallops on my own. I believe my first try on cow girl was a failed attempt, my second try I understood that you actually had to gallop, but didnt execute it all that well, and third try I believe I got it flawlessly.

For the most part I have learned on my own. In some cases having a more advanced player to the side of me helped but I'm kinda one of those people that advanced quickly. Most the songs that I beat were from simply understanding how to read the arrows..
