Rewiring DDR home pad

[it's just Kirishima now]

My Red Octane Ignition Pad 2.0's wires have become faulty. All the arrows and buttons randomly just function then malfunction. I have traced the problem to the wiring of the pad. Before I go and spend $100 bucks on another Ignition Pad, I am considering rewiring it. I already have cords from an old Playstation controller to use, so that's no issue.

I was wondering if anyone knew of any pages that listed materials, procedure, and other nescessary information, or, if they have any personal experience in the field, can guide me or explain the steps. Thank you in advance.
