It would be a little thing you could put in publicly viewable profiles, and make a list of all the different names s/he once had.

One small problem with that: As far as I know, php doesn't save old names. So even if it was implemented, it'd be from that time on that you could check the history of someone's alias. Plus, how would php differentiate(Did I spell that right?) between two people with the same names? IE: I used to go by Hero, but now someone else has that name.

Each name could be a link showing how many posts THAT say 'hero' had. You'r 'hero' post would not be there.

I like it the way it is now. It takes a minute to register when someone changes their name, with a few exceptions - like you, BoD. It helps to keep a similar avatar and banner until we adjust.
