Ok i got a pair of those soft ddr pads.. idk what brand they are but its been a few months now and they are getting a lil less accurate.. like random bbo's would just start appearing when i know damn well i hit the button... so does anyone know how i can make it so my buttons remain accurate or does that mean its time to get new pads or what? and also i was eventually thinkin of buying metal pads.. and i was wondering what kind is the best?

For your soft pad problem, what you should've done from the beginning if you hadn't was mod them. Basically just taping them down to a sturdy piece of plywood. It's definately something to look into if you haven't done that yet. If you look around the messageboards you will see some threads devoted to modding soft pads.

Yeah get new ones, and mod them right away, before you even dance on them. Or go metal. Personally I have no experience with Ebayed metal pads, but I hear Cobalt Flux is good, although extremely expensive.

I have built my own though, following DDRHomepad's instructions, and nearly a year later it still works great.

Sounds like you bought the MadCatz pads. My friend had one of them and it had the same problem with yours. I suggest either go to http://www.redoctane.com/ and get a soft pad there or get a metal pad.. or you can go to a game store and get Instinct's DPR2 if you feel like going really cheap and it costs $20. Of course you'll have to buy one every year, but it's good.
