I dont have a dance pad yet, so i dont know how good or bad it will be. Also, dont make fun of me if it sounds really bad, i have no experience w/soft pads.

i planned on stapling the pad onto plywood, and putting stacks of paper on the arrows, and slightly more paper on the X,O,sq, and tri so the arrows would be slightly sunken like in the arcades. Then I would tape the paper to thy playood so it wouldnt move. The paper wont move or squish since its on a hard flat surface.

Its seems like a good mod to me. can someone just simply stack some paper on top of an arrow (atleast 1 inch think plz) and tell me how responsive it is? Any help will be appreciated. E1.gif

I dont have much money and this wont cost more than $10 for the paper and i know not much for plywood.

the weight of the paper may affect it. it sounds sorta similar to the mod i did. but heres what i did.

do a regular plywood mod like the one they have on this site. but, before you tape it down, buy some foam. its only like 8 dollars a yard and you only need half a yard. cut some squares to fit underneath each button and the center. then, tape the squares to the bottom of the pad. continue with the regular mod.

after that, you should be able to feel the difference. my pads have lasted now for half a year with the same mod.
