August 08, 2003 - Konami of America threw off a veil of secrecy today when it revealed a partial list of official "sing-alongs" for its upcoming sequel DDRMAX2. With more that 65 regular songs and 25 hidden themes available once the game is finished, K-Rev is looking to returning fans the most for their money.

"Dance Dance Revolution has always been known for its revolutionary gameplay and pulsating music. Now, DDRMAX2 brings the revolution to the masses by raising the bar in both areas," said Jason Enos, product manager at Konami of America, Inc. "The exciting catalog of music, videos and difficulty settings in DDRMAX2 offers something for everyone, and is a testament to the ever-growing popularity of the series."

The following list of songs is the first in a series of planned announcements that will reveal the game's final lineup:

Additional information regarding the modes of DDRMAX2 has been revealed alongside the song list. Beginner Mode, Nonstop Mode (No breaks between song bytes), and Endless Mode (A test of stamina), for instance, have been officially confirmed and the Workout and Edit Modes will allow players to track calories lost during gameplay or customize dance steps. And as an added bonus, gamers will also be able to link DDRMAX2 to previous releases KONAMIX and DDRMAX1.
