Occasionally, I'll come up with an idea for a fun topic and see if it gets off the ground. I thought of this one while I was at work the other night.

I'm going to make a math problem out of DDR related things and the goal is to be the first to figure out the answer.

For Example:

(BPM of Max 300) - (BPM of 5.1.1.) + (Number of Jumps in "So Deep" Heavy) - (BPM of "Be in my Paradise) = (BPM of What song?)

The Answer is "Jet World" 300 - 101 + 2 - 63 = 138

That was just the example, let's try a REAL one!

. (Number of Jumps in "Breakdown" Light)
X (Number of Paranoia Remixes on DDR Max2)
+ (BPM of "V For Extreme")
- (Number of Gallops in "Orion.78 Civilization Mix" Light)
- (BPM of "Jam Jam Reggae")
+ (Number of Jumps in "Bag" Heavy)
__________________________________________
= (BPM of What song?)

FUN!!!!!!!!

Well, I get (25 x 4) + 150 - 10 - 90 + 1 = 151. But that can't be right, since there are no DDR songs with BPM=151. How about a hint - which of the six individual numbers did I get wrong?

(Oh btw, your example doesn't really work, since there are lots of songs with BPM=138. For a puzzle like this you'd like to know which BPM's have only one song in all of DDR. As far as I can tell, the answer to that is: 63 65 80 84 85 99 106 107 108 111 114 119 122 149 168 171 174 177 179 184 185 188 201. Any other BPM value has either no songs or more than one. Note that I've disallowed songs with a tempo change.)

Actually, Portland does. I don't go to them, but it has the most strip clubs per capita in the country, as an aside. It's also home to a lot of dance clubs, restauraunts, microbrews, etc.

25...correct
4...INcorrect
150...correct
10...INcorrect
90...correct
1...correct

Remember...Civ mix LIGHT and Paranioa mixes on "DDRMAX2"

Point taken...I was aware of the 138 thing. I assure you that the answer to the real one is a unique BPM and is in fact one of the BPMs you listed.

ok i did you little math problem and got 3 possible answers.

if you meant paranoia remixes(not counting there original)
then i get a bpm of 152 which corresponds to hyper eurobeat and mickey mouse march

if you mean paranoia mixes(counting the original) then you get 177 bpm, which = love love shine

Yes, it's (25 x 5) + 150 - 9 - 90 + 1 = 177, and so Love Love Shine.
It was my mistake counting the gallops in Orion incorrectly, but it was *your* mistake saying "remixes" in the original question. E1.gif (You should have said "mixes".)

There are only 2 mixes of Paranioa on Max2. Paranioa Survivor and Paranioa Rebirth. There are lots of others out there, but not on Max2.

First, PARANOiA survivor is not on MAX2, its on EXTREME. Second, there are five mixes on MAX2:

PARANOiA
PARANOiA (KCET CLEAN MIX)
PARANOiA EVOLUTION
PARANOiA MAX (DIRTY MIX)
PARANOiA Rebirth
