Does your family accept the DDR fandom?

trying to get a general idea of how many other people's families can't accept it as a hobby. Anyone in the same situation will know how

it is when total strangers cheer you on but your own family mocks you for it.

my mom thinks is pretty cool. I can get her to play it with me sometimes. My dad thinks im a tard for playing it. I don't think he understands it. MY sister thinks I am gay(literally) for playing it. I dun care what they think, I like it, thats all that matters.

Well, my mom makes fun of me for my weight, so she's cool with it. my dad doesnt really care. my siblings praise me for it, though, because im better than them. my dog cant understand why i want it to go away while i dance...

My brother does DDR with me. My dad thinks its good excercise but my mom mocks us for it. Thats when I get off and ask her to try. She quips back that Gene Kelley and Fred Estaire didnt need DDR to dance. I roll my eyes and ignore her then.

For me...

Mom: Likes the game (for the workout qualities), but doesn't play.

Dad: Doesn't care for it (Videogame hater... v_v)

Siblings: Not their style...

my mom used to play it for excersise.. which whas funny as hell

and my dad doesnt really care about anything at all..

My mom thinks its awsome because it keeps me healthy and I have fun doing it. I don't think my dad wants to know anything about it...

For me, it's the same as anime first was. My mom would give me strange looks whenever I bring it up, but she generally doesn't make a deal out of it.

My dad came up from Arizona for my highschool graduation this year saw it and thought it looked pretty cool, but he didn't try it (it was on the crappy softpads, not arcade). He said it looked like good exercise.

My brother is a foot or so below me in skill level and enjoys the game as much as I do.

hahahaha I laughed so hard when I saw this. 'My dog thinks it's cool and plays sometimes.' Wow........

Anyways my parents are cool with the whole idea. They practically fund my DDR expeditions to the arcade and stuff. Though before when I did Max300 and stuff my mom used to laugh causing me to mess up and fail. My dad thinks it's ok. My brother is an idiot so I don't really care what he thinks.
