I'm gonna get a couple of metal pads. I found THESE, and I was wondering...are they any good? Are they durrable? Responsive? And, what other metal pads might you suggest instead of these that cost about the same amount of money? Thanks E1.gif

I've heard bad things about this pad, that modding is a must. Another alternative you'd want to try that is around the same price range is a MyMyBox metal pad. Or you can get the Cobalt Fluxes for about $300 a piece, but they won't ever break. If you still want to buy these pads, you can get two of them off ebay about $150. Oh yeah, you can get MyMyBox metal pads off eBay too, or www.mymybox.com .

What kind of bad things have you heard about it? I'm really curious, because I really need to get two pads, and there's no way I can afford two CF pads right now. But if these pads really sucks that bad...I guess I'll just start savin' my money and go with the CF.

DOA eh? peoples.gif That's certinly not good. The mymybox pads...I was looking at those, and they look interesting. What kinds of problems will I find myself dealing with if I get a couple of those? Actually...what kinds of problems do metal pads generaly have? I've got lots of experience with shoddy "diaper" pads, but the only metal pads I've ever used are the ones at the arcade.

Keep me posted if anything freaky happens to his pad. I'm still deciding which pad to get, so if cyphergames is making high quality metal pads...I'll still consider them. I just can't make up my mind. I've been spending a lot of time over at the CF website pretending I can actually afford one of those. Maybe once I get my TV paid for... E1.gif

here a freaky thing. My friend bought one, middle of the song, and everything had fried. The board used too much power for the ps2. But this may just be a faulty pad.

I've decided. I'm getting two Cobalt Flux pads. I found a way to work them into my budget...believe it or not. So, now the only thing I'm waiting on is that new credit card with 0%APR for 15 months laugh.gif E1.gif

personally, I would build one. They're a lot cheaper and, because you built it, you know how to fix it. You can go to http://www.angelfire.com/d20/ddrhomepad/ and build one yourself for about $90. That's what I'm gonna do once I get some money.....
