#ddrfreak - Are all Verizon DSL users banned automatically?

I tried connecting to #ddrfreak using Snak 4.9.3 (a Mac IRC client) just now, and got a message saying "Alice has banned *bos.verizon.net". Is my ISP banned? I've never tried going in the channel before tonight, so I can't have done anything myself to merit a ban.
