Help, after one day of having my NEW metal pad, the down arrow wont work.. how do i fix this?

yo, check the plugger of the ddr metal pad that goes to the ps2 slot. some stuff happened to mine. well, i fixed it until my cousin broke the select button and the metal pad works for ddr konamix and i dont know why.
but some how, it wont work for any other ddr games since that select button keep messing up. but i fixed it now.

dang bye ... make no sense.
