Same Prob as in FAQ, need answers!!!!!!!

I can't do up/down or left/right combos with my pad on my pc. I'm using a Cypher Games USB coverter... is there any way for my comp to read the directional buttons as actual "buttons" rather than a "joypad"? or do I need to buy a new converter? If so, what's a good converter to buy? Plz Help! Thanx in Advance

you probably need a new usb converter.
