i play DDR for bout 20 min and i see arrows in my head for hours on end, its crazy.

INdeed my friend i also had this weird thing...ONe week of straight playing of DDR on couple of days in classroom i was freakin out cause each time i close my eyes i could see arrows on my eylids it was crazy...now once in awhile when i playalot that happens

Dont worry you will grow out of the "arrows." The way I think about it is... like when you play listen to the ddr machine... After your done playing your ears hurt (well at least mine did) b/c its so loud... but your ears get used to it and now it doesnt sound as loud anymore. Its usually something that you get when your new to DDR... so dont get used to seeing them long... i had the "arrows" for about oh i dunno 2 months then they went away. I dunno... i kinda liked the arrows lol... but now there gone and i miss them

... but i c them every time i play ddr

That happens to me when I either listen to Jpop, or have just gotten back from the arcade and listen to a song. THen I either start imagining arrows, or I'll sometimes even move my feet in a DDR-ish kinda way subconciously.

I have a theory on why this happens.

Close your eyes, and you should see colors, not bright or anything like that, it's very faint, and the colors won't be bright, dark reds and blues is what I see when I cloes my eyes. Most people should see this if they close their eyes and and try and focus on looking still. I think it has something to do with some light still entering your eyelids. Anyways, I think that the reason you see arrows when you close your eyes is your brain attempting to make sense of the random images of light it's seeing, so it makes them arrwos since those were just on your mind.

What do you all think, Crunk (good) or Bunk (bad) idea?

Hmmm... this would be true but, I belive wat there trying to say is when your not near a ddr machine you see the arrows... not like ur in front of the machine and u close your eyes lol

It's bad when you are like me and see the arrows when you are driving. I find myself tapping my unused foot to the radio where I'd put the beats if it were DDR.

I find myself whenI am in stores I stand in the middle waiting for my friends to finish browsing and I start doing the steps to Sakura or something on the tiles. hey when you have 9 of them you can make a ddr pad.

you've all seen that apple jacks commercial where they tell you to stare at the red ring for 20 seconds and then when they take it away you see a green one. or the spirally thing that you stare at for a minute and then look at your hand to see your skin crawling. or SOMETHING of this nature. bright colors...or anything, really...burn into your retinas (part of your eye) and leave a "residue" that you see. with the red ring, the residue is green. or if you stare at the sun or get your picture taken, you close your eyes and see that dot of color (which i always follow around the room...i love being intelligent). the DDR arrows do the same thing. you watch them for an extended period of time, and the screen burns into your eyes, so you get to see arrows for a while.

now, unfortunately, i play DDR alot more than i should...so i see the arrows 24/7. bah.

Well I don't think it's anything physical like that for me. I think it is just a habbit I've developed while playing DDR, to imagine and predict what the arrows will be. Since my mind uses that skill quite often, it still stays in mind sometimes..
