Well.. I don't like to speak for other people; by saying "Yes, ddr is a guys game" or "No, ddr is a girls game" I'm really doing just that. In my oppinion there is no answer to this question. Simply because the DDR you describe as "getting all sweaty" is not necessarily what DDR is to another person. There is PA, Freestyle, Comical, and just simply playing DDR however you feel like it. It would be wrong to says one sex is the best at each one of these catagories. I've seen increadible stuff from both sexes, and i've seen some amazing freestyles done with opposite sexes together. Many freestyles couldn't/wouldn't have made sense without the guy/girl companionship. It is simply wrong to say that one sex can do better at DDR than the other. |

SO ANYWAYS...
DDR. is it a guy game, or a girl game. i myself think that ddr's a guy game that girls sometimes play (btw i'm a girl and i play ddr when i rack up the time to go over to tilt and play *my home pad is pretty ickee*) girls don't play cause they're worried that they'll get all sweaty (like we true ddr players become) and get their peasant blouses and pretend skater shirts all seethrough... even though they purposely were before... (and also they'll probably trip up w/ their weird stillettoee boot things... and probably puncture the arrows while doing so... )
this is just my opinion. what do you think?? | What _________________

Its more like a game for anyone who likes to dance or likes to actually be in the game and have fun... it's for both girl's and boy's imo... |

Quote: | for example, grand theft auto vice city is definitely a "guy" game (if girls play it thats a little bit disturbing) |
OH I FORGET. CUZ, you know, stealing cars and pimpin hoes is a MAN'S Thing? WTF.
... well. Anyways. I loved Vice City and the entire GTA series. I know many girls that have been into stuff like that. BUT, if you look at the numbers, video games in general are a guys' thing. Regardless of what game it is, it will always be dominated by men (yes, even Barbie's playland).
Just like girls will always dominate flower arranging or something, I don't know. _________________

i think it is a guys game b/c majority of guys play it. girls play it too and some are better then the guys but most girls wouldnt even bother.on the other hand some guys might think it is a girls game b/c they think hittin arrows and spinning around is for P**** guys or gay guys thus giving the name "ddr" for girls use only. lol yeah.....uh thats my strange opionon _________________

I personally feel that it's a gay guy's game 'cause you wouldn't believe how many gay guys flock to DDR. _________________

When I was first introduced to DDR, I thought that it would be more of a girls' thing, but whenever I see it being played in an arcade, it's mostly the guys playing it. |

It's pretty funny actualy.
I think they first aimed towards girls, thinking they would like it. (You know, the girl as the sponser kinda thing, and how usualy girls like dancing more).
But seems now it's a 7-to-3 thing, in guys favour. _________________

I think ddr is a game for both guys and girls, even though i have my own copy at home, me and my girlfriend spend lots of money at the arcade playing versus mode every saturday. So yup its a game for everybody. _________________

The dancing part is aimed for the girls, and the physical part is aimed for the guys.
What were they thinking. |

for some reason I read the word "game" as "name" for the first 4 times I saw it. I couldn't figure out what crack you were smoking. Then I realized it was me that was smoking something.
Anywho, it's not a game specified for either gender. It's just a game for people to play. |

Yell at me if you want..............but in my opinion......does it really even matter "whose" game it is? As long as there's no rule telling us that one gender can't play b/c it's "owned" by the other, it doesn't matter..."to me"

ack! the same thing happened to me... it's something in the water...
but yeah, ddr isn't reallie gender specific... or else why would they give you an even number of boys and girls to choose from as characters in the older mixes? _________________

It's just a game. Games don't have to be "for" a gender, they're for anyone who enjoys them. _________________

I'm sure if it was sold for profit, Konami would clamp down on it (I'm sure it's a matter of time before they clamp down on ITG).[/quote]
