While doing doubles I've fallen off the pad and busted my ankle on the corner of it. Just recently I ripped a nice blister while doing Breakdownhvy. Anyone else got an injury report?

While doing doubles (dangerous, ain't it?) my left foot slipped off the edge of the pad and I stopped my fall with my right knee and left hand, spraining the fingers. They haven't fully recovered yet.

This was 19 days 15 hours ago. Hooray for memory.

early last year i was playing HV:AM heavy doubles and slipped off the side of the platform and fell on the pads. Luckily i stopped from smacking my face against the pads with my hands.

I nearly sprained my ankled rather seriously when attempting afronova doubles w hile ago. I don't really play doubles at all nomrally, so I guess I had it coming biggrin.gif
Another example of abusing my body for the sake of DDR: playing MAX300 using the bar with a broken collarbone ... that hurts.
The bone wasn't originally broken during DDR, that was from Kung Fu training, but I've no doubt prolonged the healing by playing lots and lots of DDR ... Bending back my arms to grab the bar really hurts goog.gif

K, well this isnt nearly as severe.

After doing long sessions of DDR (Say Hour and a Half) I feel the inside of my calf on my right side and I feel this weird thing on my muscle: almost like a rock has been implanted inside. Feels really weird.

So I talk to my girlfriend about it (She's into this sorta stuff.). Apparently its a busted gland in my leg from hitting stuff too hard and quickly on my pad. She told me not to worry, though: cause "all the important glands are elsewhere in your body". Thanks.... thats encouraging. E13.gif

Not nearly as bad as some people, but thought I'd share.

I've put way too much stress and pressure on my left foot as of late. It's gotten to the point that I can't flex my toes at the moment.

The worst part is that outside of a shoe, my foot feels just fine. I can flex, bend, whatever you want to do. But with my shoe on, the pressure just makes it like this real bad vice. So playing DDR becomes real frustrating.

And of course, it doesn't hurt in the middle of gameplay. But when I step off, or finish playing for a bit of time, it starts up all over again.

I just recovered from HORRIBLE leg pains...

Last Sunday, I had my first major DDR session, and being overeager and new, I overdid it. 7 games and 21 songs without a break. MISTAKE!! I had serious leg cramps when I came home, and for the last three days, my legs achedwhen I walked. I woke up this morning, and I'm all better now!

One time I played for one too many hours and my legs tightened up to the point where I couldn't bend my knees, and I just collapsed right there... it took ten minutes to regain my mobility.

Also, I've had several instances where just as a joke after a very hard song, I would just collapse on the pad right there as if I passed out... but that almost happened for real once.

once I was playing Little Boy doubles heavy and my foot slid off the right side of the pad and I fell, and I caught myself with my hands so as not to smash into the pad.

another time, I was playing i feel... doubles heavy and my foot went off the right side of the pad and I fell to the floor.

and one time on singles, I was on the right side and I was playing Rhythm & Police maniac, I was turning and my left foot went off the pad on the right side (notice a pattern here) and I fell and hit the bar with my back and a little with my head.

playing doubles again, I was doing Xanadu maniac and I lost my balance and went off the front of the pad into the screen.

I fall off the pad a lot. I've learned to avoid getting too close to the right side of the pad.

Hmmmmm well I have never been injured while playing DDR. The only thing that comes close to that are my legs cramping up when I do a fast song and my legs aren't loosened up.

I've freestyled 4 times, and 3 of those times I've injured myself. Twice I've cut my knee, pretty badly. The other time, I bruised my shin on the metal edge of the pad. That, combined with the fact that I can't freestyle for crap (except for the time I did the people's elbow on Kakumei, but that's beside the point), you'd think I'd stop freestyling.
