Hey all, long time reader, first time poster.
Down here in Dallas Texas, we've noticed that almost all people in our school have tried DDR at least once, but that almost all hardcore players are either in Band or Choir. Are you all in any of these? Are any of your friends who play in any of these groups? We'd all like to know if we're the only ones. |

I used to be bad at DDR, like "i can pass remember you on light and get a D" kinda bad, but when i started playing the clarinet and the piano, i got good like " i can master max 300 on heavy" good.
I can't really "master" Max 300 on heavy, but i can get a B on it. _________________

I am not in band or choir and I am interested in DDR. I play DDR for exercise, the music featured in DDR is just what makes DDR fun. I most certainly wouldn't play it if it weren't fun. |

I was Drum Major of my High School. I played DDR and everyone decided to jump on the bandwagon (PUN HAW HAW) and play and say it was cool.
Then everyone sucked so much my senior year I quit immediately after marching season.
I miss it though....
Meh, I'll destroy anyone @ sight reading anything on clarinet even though I haven't touched mine in 3 years.
Memories.... _________________

I was in band for four years. It actually helped me learn the timing in the game when I first played. _________________

I think my expierence in High School Marching Band and those rehearsals for the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps (although i never went on tour with them) helped me in my DDR skill-building. Marching and playing music is the same premise as DDR, your moving and acting on the music that is being played (Im marching band's case, its the music that YOU are playing) _________________

i was in band for a good 4 or 5 years, and was first chair clarinet for 2 of em. though for the life of me, i could not read music worth a damn. i did however, own at memorizing my music, and used the sheet music as a guide for memorizing. the only thing i used it for was what i may not have memorized like volume or whatever. i would do better with playing it by listening to the piece then i would just reading it. _________________

I'm not all that great at sight reading either (even on DDR), but I'm really good at playing stuff after I've heard it. _________________

I have been in some sort of chorus every year since first grade, and played piano from third grade to senior year in HS. _________________

I was in choir for 4-5 years, next year I'm gonna be in my school's elite super-advanced choir. I also play piano. |

Most of the good DDR players in my school are in the music program, myself included.
BTW, what choirs are you guys in? Maybe we've competed against you! _________________

I <3 choir. Maybe because I can sing. That's the only thing on EARTH I brag about, my singing. It's not even that grandeuse, but the fact that I can sing is great.
And Bassline, I'm in a high school choir. Do you compete against those? _________________
