What would make a ddr site the best overall site to goto?
- Stepcharts? Huge Forums? Updated Videos? An awesome easy to navigate design? -
What exactly would make a new ddr site the absolute best there is, best there was and best there ever will be? _________________

I would have to disagree. DDRfreak is a good ddr site or should I just say they're a good forum site. Honestly everyone who has been comming here always comes to the forums to check up on post's etc.
Other than the forums I really don't consider DDRfreak as that good of an ddr site.

True, the forums are awesome. But the things you talk about: stepcharts, videos, etc. Can all be easily found by asking for links to them from the forums. So I'd still say DDRfreak is the best ddr site because of how easily you can get to the information you need to find. _________________

DDR Freak has the best forums (though some in the internet community would dissagree), but for other content, I go elsewhere. Namely, aaroninjapan.com to see crazy videos! _________________

Pictures and motion picture films of what an arcade looks like whenever you click on a loacation so you know what the place looks like before you go. That would be pretty cool. |

Thats is a good idea. But some people don't have access to a digital camera or scanner. I still think it would be a cool feature.
And I still think that DDRfreak isn't as good as other ddr based sites, the forums make this site great not to mention word of mouth and publicity. _________________

www.aaroninjapan.com has great information and videos, the only thing it lacks is stepcharts. the best place for stepcharts was zyx-19, but they closed, and ddrfreak's charts are... eh... and missing a bunch. _________________

To maybe have the best ddr site, you may need in my opinion:
Every single songlist to every single ddr game, at the arcade or home, with difficulty ratings too.
Info on every ddr game with photos of interface, menus, and what the game looks like. Similar to what bemanistyle.com uses in info, but they don't show photos. Whos knows, someone like me may want to know what a certain ddr game looks like, for instance the ddr solo games. What does the song select in those games look like?
Step charts of every single ddr song, singles and doubles. Include where tempo changes or freezes occur. And no mistakes between a 16th note to a triplet. And show what the steps look like when using a mod.
Members send in edits so other ddr players can copy them down and try them out.
Let viewers see what all Cd's look like on ddr 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and maybe even 4th, Extra, and Konamix. Those Cd's on the song select. I like those Cd's...
A ddr art gallery. Even fans can send in pictures of their own.
Videos of Every songs background animation and Fmv. Many songs have more than one though, depending on what games they were on.
Show lots of photos of an upcoming ddr game if possible and show them on the front page. Everything from title screen to menus (which the ddr freak crew failed to do this year for some reason with U.S Max 2 and Ultramix....)
All simfiles of every ddr song made. A section for simfile orignals too.
An online radio.
Maybe a history of ddr page.
Tips and Hints. Maybe even a how to page.
Codes for all ddr games.
Faqs on all ddr games.
Walkthroughs for every song on every difficulty, although not the entire song of course, unless it's maybe a 10 foot song. A few videos can show what you can do to beat a certain section of a difficult song.
A poll of the week or in ddrfreak's case....a poll of the month? If a poll of the week is done, it's to be updated every week.
An online store for ddr merchdise.
Moderator profiles with photo included maybe?
A good amount of well done freestyle videos.
Homemade ddr song remix section made by fans.
Lyrics to every ddr song that has them. If japanese, translate. Make sure those lyrics are acurate too.
If I can think of anything else, I'll add it later. |

I would like to see a members page where real profiles of members are (pictures, ages, etc). Or perhaps a seperate (not avatar) picture could be added into a member's profile with a small quote from the member where they could say their age, best DDR accomplishment, etc.
The custom-edit section sounds interesting. I wouldn't mind this at all!
Pictures of all DDR machines and their interfaces/game screens too. Maybe include all Bemani. It's obvious we like music games here.
Also include pictures (if given) of each arcade in the locations section.
A FASTER SERVER THAN THIS. Yeah I know: money. Would a small donation help?
I like the forums / songlists / stepcharts as they are now. |

Maybe some of these ideas should be sent to the Site Feedback forums.
As for me, the only thing about this site is missing stepcharts. But chartzar solves that problem for me. (Still looking for club version steps though, most specifically Luv To Me(Disco Mix)). Otherwise this site is great. _________________
