Longest Lasting Pad

Well just name what type of pad you have, and how and if you modded it, where and how much you got it, and ..... oh yeah how long its lastest.

If you want the name of the longest lasting pad look up Cobalt Flux. They will run you about $300 but your grandchildren will be able to use it. Other then that I would think a home made metal pad would outlast a modded CG or MyMybox metal pad. A home made pad will cost around $135 (See sticky for those) and two CG pads go for about $180 on ebay. I am looking to invest in a metal pad and building my own seems to be my best option.

I have an unmodded BNS-USA pad that's been going strong for 10 months now.

Well, not strong. It's bent as all get-out, it has tape all over it to repair the cracked plastic arrows, and it sticks sometimes, requiring the removal of an arrow to scrape the metallic tape off the sensor.

But most of the time it still works perfectly.

Well I was refering to soft pads and I'm not too sure aobut building my own just yet

I've got a BNS DX Extreme pad. I did the plywood and pad cover mod and it has lasted me well over seven months. The arrows are just as responsive as when it was new and there are no rips or tears in it. All in all, I think it's a great pad.

Just buy a cheapo soft pad and modify it by nailing it to a plywood board and placing hardwood floor protector over it. It will last forever.

Cutting up a rubber doormat and duct taping it underneath each of the arrows (and the center) also works well (just make a plus sign on the back). It makes it a lot more responsive and so you can "feel" the pad better.

For some reason my Mad Catz soft pad has been going for like 8 months now, I'm surprised. Usually those things don't last too long.

Red Octane Ignition 2.0 is still working after 6 months. I hope it'll still work, once "MAX 2 US" arrives.

Well listing from all the soft pads I've bought.

Topway pads- lasted 3 weeks with continous use almost every day.
Offical Konami pad- lasted about 4 weeks with continuos use.
Redoctane Pad- lasted about 5 months till I accidentally static shocked it and it broke.
RO Ignition 2.0 Pad- lasted about 6 months till I accidentally broke it from static shock.

Topway is a piece of crap, mine lasted 6 months ( about 3 months worth of gameplay ), any pad that isnt soft will prolly last 5+ months

Awkwardly the guy talked me into getting some replacement thing for it for like $3 so I'm just gonna go get another one ... until then I'm using my other Mad Catz pad :-p
