Freak out!!

You know you've all done it. Failed a song and dropped an F-bomb, just missed making the boards, etc. What did you do the last time you had a DDR freak out?

I was playing at home, and i had just gotten every song up to Candy, so i went through trying to get an A on every song on light mode. I got to the paranoia dirty mix (which i thought was my last one) and it took me literally 25 tries to finally ace it, and i was at my wits end. Then i saw i had to do a relatively simple song, so i went to get it over with. I got 128 perfects and 14 greats...and they gave me a B. I totally flipped out. I punched the wall (cutting open one knuckle and fracturing another) and almost brought my 260 pound self down onto my pad in a not-so-nice way.

Maybe I'm the only one that flips out...

I think I know how you feel...I was playing DDRMAX and trying to A Rhythm and Police on Heavy...and my pad wasn't happy with me. I got Boo!s in the gallops that I always did perfectly (I couldn't A it before because of the eight-note streams, but it seemed that now that I was capable of getting an A, my pad wouldn't let that happen!) and ended up with 307 Perfects, 98 Greats, 3 Goods, 0 almosts and....12 BOO!s

It's a really good thing I'd been doing R&P Heavy for about 30 minutes now, so I didn't have the energy to break things!

Well I happened to be near a guy who is a bit as good as me, and he played Max 300 and failed it. He then got frustrated and threw a punch at the machine. Luckily it only moved a little and didn't break.

I just flipped out a couple of seconds ago.

i was trying to get to the extra stage, mind you which i never played, and when i got to the 2nd stage i decided to do Remember You since its the easiest song to do on heavy

. I did it on the second stage just for practice, got an AA. So the final stage is what counts so i played it. got a good on the second to last arrow

. GAHH!! i HATE it when i do that on one of the last arrows.

So now im all mad that i gotta do the stages all over again just to do that friggin easy song, which mind you is evil cuz its SO slooooww

. Ugh, well enough about me, how about you guys

The other day I was trying to AAA a song that I've been consistently getting 3 or less greats on. I got a great on the first step and just stopped playing and yelled "god dammit I hate this fucking game." Yeah it's childish and immature, but I was mad.

When I do real bad or the machine screws me over?

I'll slam my foot into one of the metal sections of the stage. I may be pissed, but I'd never screw up the arrows by slamming my feet on them.

I really hate this but in general I have a serious anger problem. My parents cease to believe that it's really anything serious... really pisses me off, causes me to curse like I've never cursed before... etc. etc.

Luckily I haven't had many "Freak-outs" unless you mean trying to AAA a light and following the horrible temptation in your brain "come on, you know you want to, just get a great! what could happen?" then I get kind of annoyed, you know, and i tend to just keep getting more greats after that. (Once I was ONE great [+one N.G. - bad pads] away from the AAA)

The most common "DDR freak"-out that happens to me, at least LATELY, is that when I know I can't AA a song because I've GOTTEN too many greats and it's too late to get rid of them. I end up getting an A, which I have been tending to do for a while.

I yelled out "poppy" when I got a boo on Max 300. I was just 12 steps away from full combing it

Well this one time, I was playing this song. I think it was Boom Boom Dollar K. O. G. G3 Mix and i full comboed it but got the same amount of greats as i did perfects. That is freakin crazy

its happens to just about every time i play 5th Mix. no matter how hard or easy the song is, how fast or slow the song is, whenever i FC that song i get more greats then perfects.

the catch? its not 2 or 12 greats more then perfects i get on 5th mix. its freaking in the nears the 100s more greats then perfects when i FC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it only happens on 5th!!! it never happens to me in any other DDR mix!!!!!!!!!!!

I've flipped the machine many times when I fail on songs I'm use to passing or attempting. Hard on myself yes, but I get frustrated!
