Right, I've been playing DDR for about a month now. The only machine I play on (because it's the only one within a decent location to my house) is DDR Max 2 7th Mix. In this time I can do songs up to 9 feet on them, Afronova and End Of The Century being favorites of mine.

I have a few questions. Everyone here refers to a "cata" and it seems to be a big deal on doing one, what is it? Also, how do you do a foot slide? The arrows are between raised metal pieces on the pad where I'm at, could anyone help me out? Thanks.

I just found out I am doing catas from that link you sent me. However I'm confused still how to footslide with raised metal seperating each of the arrows.

Also, what does FC and SGD mean? Those two I couldn't find in the dictionary. Any help is appreciated,

FC is a full combo, (hitting all the steps in the song either perfect or great) such that the combo it shows at the end is the highest possible. This usually (not always) but usually results in a AA. I've been meaning to ask about SGD myself for a while.
