and btw, i like 5th mix. Its old school. It has songs that will never be on another mix (unless they get the licencing back for that song) and the long version.

It's the last mix where you can pick your character, basically it's OLD SCHOOl!

and its the last mix where i can see characters flain madly at 260 BPM when im playing drop out..

Ouch. I don't hate 5th, but it is not my favorite.

It has the old school songs and all (Hot Limit!), but I would take any of the newer mixes (Max 1 included) over it.

I'd actually prefer a 5th over a Max or Max 2. I do think I'd keep the Extreme over 5th, even though I really miss quite a few of the 5th songs that aren't on later mixes. 5th mix really isn't all that bad.

and really, no need for all the hate.

Screw Extreme you noob. Obviously the person hasn't been playing DDR very long (a nub) or else he wouldn't be dissing on all the old songs.

Actually I really like 5th mix. Its one of my favorites. Extreme is of course better than all of them, but 5th had a pretty decent selection of older and newer songs, plus it was still 60fps. That's one reason i like 5th over 4th+ because of the difference in fps, even though 4th+ has more songs. I'd rank 5th mix right up there with max2 as my 2nd favorite machines. (pretty much a tie between those 2)

I love playing those old songs, because I started out on ddr playing all of those old songs. Now I miss a lot of them because around here there are only extreme machines with one max2. I just dont want to drive an hour to play on a 5th or 4th+ machine.

and another thing, maybe you should take a chill pill and turn off the all caps mode.

If you've been playing for a year and four months, shouldn't most songs be old to you now? Obviously, you have no aversion to playing old songs yourself, so why the animosity?

Though I don't prefer 5th, it has a lot of good songs that didn't make it back. 5th exclusives and all, 4th+ is good for all the really old songs. Stuff like Radical Faith and The Cube, those are fun songs.

I personally don't understand the obsession with 5th myself, but it's still a good mix. In fact, the only mix I can't stand is 1st. Even 2nd had a FEW redeeming qualities (I played it a bit back when it was new, heh).

The 5th mix next to our Extreme machine is kind of a lifesaver. I've been missing A Minute ever since the MAX2 got upgraded and at least now I can play the original version. Still though, almost nobody plays the 5th mix machine even if there's a long line for Extreme. Wonder why.

5th Mix rocks! I got points for flaming someone because he said 5th sucks. MAX 2 blows nuts compared to 5th.

NO OTHER MIX had any of these songs, and the fps rate is fantastic along with it still uses the characters, plus it also still has the "It's new!" guy. I hate the guy in MAX and above.

There's nothing wrong at all with 5th Mix, call me crazy but I would prefer 5th over EXTREME!

I was going to post something that required some though and stuff and.... what's the point?

One think 5th has going for it (at least for me) is that the whole theme/feeling/whatever you want to call it is just so... fun. It looks and sounds fun. It's happy and colorful without being extremely gay. That's what DDR is about for me, so 5th is one of my favorites.
