Personally. I love T-Mobile's customer service and coverage. Their best plan HAS to be the GET MORE 600 for $39.99. 600 anytime, unlimited nights and weekends.
If you want a pretty nice phone you can put some DDR ringtones onto, but don't want anything to fancy, I'd go with the Nokia 3390 GOLD. It has AOL Instant Messanger built in so you can be in contact almost anywhere! But you may want to consider getting their buddytime add on for $10.00 extra which gets you unlimited 2 way messaging. I found out the hard way. It's more cheaper than going 25,000 messages over and having a $700 phone bill... ^^ Plus right now, the phone is free with rebates.
However, if you are trendy and need a fancier phone, try the Sony Ericcson T300. It has a colour screen, polyphonic ringtones (You can convert MIDIS to your ringtones and still save most of the sound) and an optional camera attachment. Cool little phone, but it's $100 with rebates.
If you want to be super de duper trendy, go for the Nokia 3650. The one with the built in video recorder and built in camera. It also has a RealOne player so you can play video clips on your phone. But the phone is pricy. $200 with rebates.
Visit http://www.t-mobile.com for their plans and pricing.
I honestly would NOT go cingular. I had them for almost a year and their coverage was VERY spotty when I was traveling, and their network seemed to be constantly busy. Sometimes I would have to try several times to get a connection. That, and their customer service reps are real a-holes. This one lady once told me I couldn't upgrade my phone because SHE really didn't think I needed to. WTF. So unless they've fixed these problems, I wouldn't ever consider going Cingular again.
But I've been t-mobile for almost 3 years and I <3 every minute of it.
As far as DDR ringtones go, you can either compose your own (I made a couple different versions of Candy that are still floating around the net) or do a google search. And like I said, the last 2 phones can take MIDIS and convert them... _________________

Personally, I love my Motorola T720I. Plus, I've got my awesome Hero Happy Grandale Mix polyphonic ringtone. The free camera doesn't hurt either. Good stuff! _________________

I highly suggest against Cingular. I had them. They charge a lot for not very many minutes. You can find better service elsewhere. |
