Yep, welcome to the club. Soon enough, every set of tiles you go to you will play, when you close your eyes, DDR arrows will come up and play in your mind. You'll start thinking about different DDR songs and get them in your head... Welcome. _________________

That's true.
Everytime I see Tiles, I can't help thinking about playing.
When I hear music, I can just think of the arrows for it.
When I see ANY arrow...
You get it. _________________

yah, soon the arrows will go away tho, maybe, although some of my friends still are plagued by that symptom...
lol, my problem, i spend 1/2 my time playing ddr, and 1/2 the remaining time talking about it or on ddrfreak...lol, you'll get used to it eventually. _________________

The DJ threw Shooting Star, Moonlight Shadow, AM-3P, and a few others I can't think of right now into the mix (Sandstorm was another one), and everyone went from the usual bopping around to DDR style four panel dancing.
Friggin' funniest thing I've seen in a long time. |
NO WAY! ha ha ha! That would be so insane to watch... but then again not surprising since every ddr fan I know loves anime. I'll have to watch for that at Anime Expo in LA
I'm guilty too though-- I tap my hands or feet when I hear any music so I can't help thinking DDR sometimes. I'll think "that tempo change would SUCK" or "that song would be about 7 feet" ha ha ha... she's right, you get used to it _________________

it can be a phase, but in some cases it'll live with you forever. i remember when i used to close my eyes and there'd be arrows rolling by. now i've been playing for 11 months next week and my concept of ddr has gone above arrows. when i try to do songs like paranoia survivor i no longer think of hitting arrows as being the most important thing, i see the way my body moves as a whole as the important part of passing the song. now i no longer see the arrows, but i do step in ddr patterns because i find it hard to keep still unless i'm sitting down or leaning against something and doing patterns is a lot funner that moving from side to side. |

I've been playing since mid-2000, and the tile thing continues to happen to me. I think everybody understands that one. It's just so obvious! Although I really only notice that a location even HAS tiles when I'm really, really bored..
The "seeing arrows" thing doesn't happen to me anymore really.... It used to... but maybe that's because my local machine has a fubar dark screen cause the monitor has a busted color tube... those backgounds that are supposed to be green in DDREX? Yup, they're brown (and dark). >_< So maybe it's just 'cause the arrows aren't bright enough...
As for doing it at school dances and clubs..... I only do that if I'm doing it on purpose to look silly... I mean sometimes when I dance it looks like I'm -FREESTYLING- DDR, but freestyling doesn't really look like playing DDR anyways... but the basic "four arrows are there" premise is still kinda in play I guess....

Yeah people ask me what the hell I'm doing when they see me on those neat little 1 x 1 tiles. when I see 5 of them in a + shape I just have to DDR on them, it's worse when I'm at lunch and doing it while listening to my CD player. Yes, I even make up steps for all the non-DDR songs I listen to. _________________
